Our Story

Oceanside Evaluations is the leading assessment center in the greater Williamsburg area with a focus on finding out what makes the client unique. Our founder, Dr. Annie VanSkiver, opened Oceanside after her frustrations with getting a neuropsychological evaluation completed for one of her children lead her to see a need in our community. She was employed at Eastern State Hospital at the time as a Forensic Psychologist but reconnected to her passion for working with youth and helping families. She leads the team at Oceanside Evaluations as a Certified School Psychologist with a passion and understanding of assessments that really make a difference. Dr. Annie’s commitment to making sure that the most effective assessments are completed and that each client is looked at as a whole makes Oceanside stand out in the field.

She, along with a diverse team of psychological and educational professionals, work together to provide comprehensive, personalized, strengths-based, and timely evaluations to help children, adults, and their families understand their unique needs. 

At Oceanside, we value our families more than anything.
