Role of EF Coaches:
EF Coaches are professionals who provide instruction, guidance, and support to help students understand and reach their potential.
Executive Functioning (EF) Coaching?
Our EF Coaching program is designed to help students cultivate lasting habits that enhance both their learning and personal development. We don't just provide support with their coursework; we focus on strengthening their work habits in several key areas, including Homework, Project Management, Test Preparation, and Active Reading Strategies.
EF Coaching is a very specialized type of tutoring that teaches students of all ages to understand what they need to be successful and self-sufficient in all areas of their lives.
Specifically, EF Coaching focuses on:
Improving time management, scheduling, and efficiency
Creating individualized systems to initiate and prioritize tasks (and end procrastination for good!)
Developing and improving organization and systems for success
Work on a plan for managing stress and emotional dysregulation, particularly around “non-preferred” (or boring!) activities
Who do we help:
Elementary Students
Middle School Students
High School Students
College Students
Student-Athletes
Who would benefit:
Nearly all students can benefit from EF coaching, as each can learn new skills and develop their own toolbox of tricks that work for them!
Should I get a Tutor or an
EF Coach?
A tutor helps students who are having difficulty in one class or specific academic skill. A tutor is helpful for preparing for standardized testing.
An EF Coach helps students who struggle to get started or maintain effort. An EF Coach works with students having difficulty in multiple subjects or with skills such as note-taking, studying, and active reading. An EF Coach helps disorganized students who have difficulty focusing or locating completed work.
