OSE Prices

We want to make sure that we are the best fit for you and what you need! Please tell us what your concerns are so we can ensure that we can evaluate those at our office and put you with the correct psychologist or suggest another path if we do not feel you should start with us. If you are unsure what level of testing is needed, please contact the office for more information and possibly schedule a 15-minute consult. If you choose to work with OSE, we offer several payment options for you to choose from when you get the forms to complete. These include a 5% discount if paid in full in advance of the intake, spreading out the payments over different time frames, or using something like an AdvanceCareCard to pay for the evaluation. Go to www.advancecarecard.com for more information and see what you qualify for. Advance Care Card and Oceanside Evaluations do not share any information about clients/customers

Having an evaluation completed is an investment in health and well-being. Although OSE works to keep the costs down, psychological testing is costly. OSE understands that the financial investment can be more difficult than any of us wants it to be.

OSE requires at least $375 within five days of booking any private pay evaluations or at least three days before intake whichever is first. You will be given several payment options for the remaining balance. All fees must be paid in full in advance of report writing, which is usually done after the feedback session.

Add-On Fees as Needed

Dr. Ann VanSkiver: Our practice charges an additional surcharge if the client requests Dr. VanSkiver to complete the evaluation instead of another OSE psychologist. This is because all of our psychologists are amazing, and Dr. VanSkiver has to run the practice. We encourage you to explain your areas of concern, and OSE will work to fit you with a psychologist. (Not charged in addition to concierge services)
- Dr. VanSkiver Private Pay an additional $775 (Must be paid in full along with the intake session fee to book with Dr. VanSkiver)
- Dr. VanSkiver Tricare $425 (This fee cannot be billed to Tricare; no superbill can be made for this fee, and it must be paid in full to book the intake session with Dr. VanSkiver.)
- Dr. VanSkiver IEE $550 (This fee cannot be billed to the school system and must be paid by the client in full to book the intake session.)

Travel other than for Concierge Evaluations: Travel time from and back to the office is considered work time if travel is necessary (more than 30 miles from the office).

Travel is paid at $180/hour for Doctor Level, $135/hour for Masters Level, $95/hour for other staff. If more than one level of staff is needed, the fee will be at the higher level.
If overnight travel is necessary, a surcharge of $250/person on top of any hotel fees must be collected before the travel occurs.
Travel for IEE or Tricare cases is the responsibility of the client and not the school system or Tricare.

Expedited Report: Report writing is the most time-consuming piece of the evaluation process, but the client is usually unaware of the large amount of time spent on this valuable task. Oceanside Evaluations appreciates your understanding that a large block of uninterrupted time is necessary to review all of the testing and scores, write a report, and have a peer review. Please check with your psychologist to see if an expedited report is possible.

Reports are not written until the evaluations are paid for in full, which should be at or before feedback. In that case, the report will be sent as a PDF via the client portal 15 business days after the feedback session is complete and all family rating scales have been submitted. If the report is not paid in full, the report will be completed within 15 business days of the final payment. If the report is paid in full during the process of the 15 business days, the next business day after the payment is received in full will start the 15-day cycle if the client confirms in writing (email to the OSE office and the psychologist) that the payment was made and the psychologist is aware to start working on the report.

If the client completes the rating scales after feedback, it is the responsibility of the client to contact the psychologist and make them aware that the rating scales are complete. Once the psychologist acknowledges receipt of the rating scales, the 15 business days start.

Expedited report fees are due at or after feedback with the agreement of the psychologist that time is available to complete the report. The business day after Feedback or Payment in full with all family rating scales complete (whichever is later) is received is considered day 1. These fees are the same for all types of clients and are paid for by the client.

Report 3-5 business days $350
Report 6-8 business days $250
Report 9-11 business days $175
Report 12-14 business days $100

Testing in a School Setting or Observations: These are completed in 60-minute increments. Travel time is paid based on the travel schedule.

  • If outside testing or an observation takes place instead of one of the testing sessions allotted to their type of evaluation, there is no additional cost unless there is a travel fee for travel more than 30 miles each way.

  • If this is above the testing sessions allotted for this type of evaluation:

    • $275/hour Dr. Ann VanSkiver + Travel rate if needed

    • $245/hour Doctor of Psychology + Travel rate if needed

Additional IEE Services: If additional work/time is required beyond the contractual obligations of an IEE, the party requesting the work/time is responsible for paying the additional fees beforehand.

  • Including an advocate in the process is $180 and includes one 15-minute phone call with the advocate before the intake session. The advocate is encouraged to participate in the intake and feedback sessions. If OSE is not made aware of the involvement of an advocate before the intake, the fee is $325.

Payment Options

Private Pay - Self Pay: Clients pay with Cash, Credit, HSA, *Advance Care, or Check. A superbill can be made for these clients to submit to their insurance for possible reimbursement based on the individual out-of-network benefits for behavioral health testing. See the FAQs page to see what you should ask your insurance company.

Private Pay - *Advance Care: Private Pay rates. AdvancedCareCard offers options like 15-month interest-free financing for our clients through their credit card based on your application/credit rating. Go to www.advancecarecard.com to apply and see what you qualify for. When applying online, Advance Care will provide you with an immediate credit decision. If immediate approval is not available and additional work is required on your application, you will be notified by Advance Care once a decision is made. If you decide to use Advance Care, you should receive a card within 4 to 7 business days that you can then provide to Oceanside Evaluations as your form of payment. Oceanside Evaluations gets nothing other than your payment and also does not pay Advance Care anything.

Add-Ons (not Tricare): Clients pay with Cash, Credit, HSA, or Check. A superbill may be possible in certain situations.

Tricare: OSE’s only in-network insurance. Claims are filed with Tricare, and then the client is charged for any co-pay or deductible to the card on file. Tricare clients who need testing for learning disabilities or for educational placement pay out-of-pocket for the specific assessment or addendum before testing takes place, as these cannot be billed to Tricare. No superbills can be created for Tricare expenses.
Tricare clients who fail to provide the information necessary to process claims through Tricare are responsible for the full cost of the evaluation.
