
The Learning Hub Basics

Currently in the developmental stages - email us if you have needs/suggestions!
Who: Virtual learners who are either being "homeschooled" or are homebound due to anxiety, school refusal, and/or bullying. The ideal student would benefit from a small group, learning environment, socialization, activities, therapeutic intervention, and academic support.
(We do not provide curriculum or grades - Space LIMITED)
What: Independent study in a supportive and collaborative environment with unique opportunities away from online learning each day to include outside time. (therapeutic and extracurricular experiences)
When: We are working with parents and local agencies to determine the community's need for times and days.
Where: East Coast Center for Learning and Development/Oceanside Evaluations

Why: Provide a learning assistant to help support online learning, encourage students to challenge themselves in self-directed/non-graded projects, provide a variety of therapeutic opportunities, and lots more, depending on the kids' interests.

Role Playing Games / Chess / Puzzle Building
School Refusal Counseling
Individual Therapy
Crafts/Canva
Book Club
Art Therapy
Updated educational/psychological assessments
Examples of Add-On Services that families can contract:
Specific subject tutoring
Dyslexia/Reading Specialist (Hampton Roads Dyslexia Center)
EF Coaching (Oceanside Evaluations)
If present, students will be provided two snacks a day but must bring their own complete lunches.
